Visiting family from the US and had a craving for a baked potato. I thought the portions in the states were big! Huge potato, loads of cheese and probably an entire tub of coleslaw. It was fantastic. I couldn’t finish it all. Very friendly staff and fast service and even with the slight issue of my visa(which was honestly quite funny) it was a good experience.

I’ve been recently unwell and craving comfort foods, and today I really really had a notion for a baked potato. I love to eat the crispy, baked skin and this takes time at home… time I didn’t want to wait! So I jumped in the car and drove the 5 minutes to Spud U Like. Located in the food court area of EK centre it’s not somewhere I would normally go. But needs must! I opted for a plainish option — Baked potato with butter and cheese. They certainly don’t scrimp on the cheese and the girl spent time making sure the butter was evenly distributed in the potato. I paid £3.84 and decided to take my lunch home. The potato was perfectly soft inside with lovely baked skin. Inside the bag was a small pot of Branston small chunk pickle. I ate it with my baked potato and it was a lovely combo. The staff were pleasant, service quick, the baked potato hit the spot. What more can you ask for when you have an overwhelming notion for something? I’m sure I’ll be back again next time I have a craving!

Alwright Brian Harvey here of East 17. I found me self a bit further north than I’m used to for New Years Eve or hogmany innit 2010& was in Glasgow to bang a few e’s and just have a good time with me missus Emma in the top clubs there. I got to say the hogmany you guys put on was pure class but the real highlight of me trip was visiting Glasgow’s Spud-u-like. After along new years eve sesh bangin e’s and guzzling cider came the harsh light of morning. Me belly was rumbling & I stumbled across this top class restaurant. Me love affair with the baked potato is no secret. I scoffed about 7 of these off me tits & nearly killed me self by driving over me own head. That’s all behind me though & enjoy me baked potatoes in moderation. I walked in there & the aroma of fresh potatoes been baked led me to the lass at the till by the nose. I arrived at the till already on cloud nine. I looked up at the selection & I was like a kid in a candy store — tuna, sweetcorn & mayonnaise, cheese & baked beans, coleslaw, chili con carne and even chicken tikka! I was bloody impressed let me tell you! I ordered the tuna, sweetcorn & mayonnaise. I made a crack about the lass frying it because that’s what you nutters do innit, fried crème eggs & mars bars! The lass even laughed at me little joke. Me food arrived swiftly and I sat down I tucked in. It was pukka! The potato was light n fluffy, the tuna delicious & the mayonnaise nice and creamy. I saw that there with me belly full like the cat that got the cream or if you’ve seen Emma’s bastard cats on me documentary ‘Being Brian Harvey’, the cat that got me cuppa! I had a banging night in the top clubs of Glasgow and rounded it off the next morning with a stellar tuna mayonnaise baked potato. It was off the chain!

Baked potato, a snack of the past. But a darn good one, and good with anything: beans, cheese, coleslaw, you name it get it in. So spud u like is one of the very few fast-food places that you can actually get anything healthy for food. The spuds fill you up to the brim and taste goood. There is a lot of ample seating but you do get shooed away if you sit in one of the wrong coloured seats for the other food areas. It is a hustle and bustle area though, and the spuds are quite expensive, but better than the other things on offer. It is not often I get a potato that has been oven baked.

First of all, what an awesome name! I do like the word spud! For me, there’s nothing more satisfying than chowing down on a hearty baked potato. Last Christmas I was doing some last minute shopping with my friend and we decided to go here for a little snack as we were feeling peckish. I opted for my usual kind of baked potato — beans and cheese. It was delicious and not too pricey either! Even better was the fact that we didn’t have to wait for an age to get served and the staff here are very friendly too which is an added bonus. I’ve also been doing my research and found a few facts about Spud U Like potatoes; 1) They are high in fibre which is doubled when you eat the skin. 2) They provide about one third of the recommended daily dose of vitamin C. 3) There are only 25 calories per ounce in a spudulike potato. 4) They are virtually fat free! Cool.

I think that this is a fantastic food outlet, at the Debenhams end of the shopping centre. Prices are very reasonable, the potatos are a fair size and they ooze with filling. In additon, the service is really quick, even during peak periods. There are plenty of fillings available(with or without salad), plenty of roomy seating and the staff do a great job of keeping the tables clean and floors clear from spillages etc. They even do a bottle warming service for babies, what more could you ask for from a fast food outlet ;)

I’m not a fan of the majority of fast foods available today, which is why I do like spud-u-like. In fact I was there today with my two year old and we both enjoyed our meals which were reasonably priced and tasty. Whilst I don’t think the size of the tattie was particularly great it’s probably more than enough for most adults once you’ve got the filling in it I’m not fat I just eat a lot ;) Unlike many of it’s competitors in the food hall it’s usually fairly quite with plenty of seating and, due to it’s quietness, there’s usually plenty of elbow room. It’s also nice since it’s not full of hyperactive kids who have been raised on a diet of ‘ginger’ and crisps and it has a more leisurely feel about it than any of the big name fast food places. Go on, enjoy a tattie!

A great alternative to the unhealthier food in the other courts. Plenty of seats and table around. Food reasonably priced and always good quality. Situated in the food court upstairs by Primark

This is located on the second floor in East Kilbride shopping centre, it is in the food court. They sell a good range of baked potatoes with various fillings from tuna to beans and cheese etc. They have some seating factilities. It can make a nice change for a healthy fast food to other fast food options.
