My mum has been going to Silki salon for years and when I was at school I used to go along with her for a trim and some layers. It’s a great little salon, the staff are highly skilled and friendly and the prices are very reasonable.
My mum usually gets a few subtle highlights and they always look very natural. They also use a host of conditioning treatments ensuring that her hair always looks in tip top shiny condition.
The salon is fresh, modern and although not the largest hairdressers in the world you never feel cramped. It has a great customer base which adds to the friendly vibe the salon has. Definitely a place you have to book as it’s a very popular salon.

Another local, inexpensive hairdressers in which I’ve had a trim. For the purpose of this review I’d like to stress this was only a trim.
Hence, I cannot say much about their colouring standards or indeed drastic haircuts. Although, from my limited experience it was a really nice little place. The girls were very pleasant, quick and I managed to be in and out in well under an hour, even though I had not arranged an appointment earlier. Just what I want on my day off so I can squeeze as much in as possible.
Meanwhile, the shop was clean, tidy and perfectly nice; while the prices were reasonable and in line with other hairdressers close by.
