Ah Rocksteady. Hard to miss in their high vis jackets and domineering presence. To be fair, they do quite a decent job, handling large crowds at concerts and football games. The staff generally consists of students who are more than happy to be paid to see gigs, taking tickets and bantering with the crowds, however there is the odd one who seems to be out for a fight and loves nothing more than getting in amongst the rowdy crowds and abusing their position of authority. Overall, a decent bunch who take care of the public and focus on crowd safety and a pretty cushty job I’d say.

If you regularly frequent football matches or large concerts at the SECC or any sports park(Hampden, etc) — you’ll have seen Rock Steady. They’re usually pretty burly — although not always! — and are the main security and crowd control at these sorts of gatherings. You’ll probably see them wearing high-visibility vests and black hoodies advertising their job title. They often come across as quite serious, but if you’re at a concert and handing out water, they’re usually pretty friendly. Definitely a bunch who take their jobs seriously and don’t take any bull from drunk neds or troublemakers. Overall I’ve always had a good experience with them. No complaints!
