It’s not the best pizza around, but being close to the Strath campus makes it a great option for grabbing a quick pizza.

Most Pizza Hut restaurants have really sticky tables because they spray their spray cleaner too much and never give the table a wash down with a wet cloth. This place was different. The tables were dry and not sticky. I was in at lunchtime on Tuesday and enjoyed their £6.99 buffet offer. I was there for two hours and got my moneys worth of pizza, pasta and salad. It’s a great place for people watching. The top half of the restaurant has high windows, but the bottom half has big low windows to see the world properly. The staff are very good. Well trained and patient. The only fault is the position of the salad bar. If there is someone standing at the end of it, piling up on bread sticks, and doesn’t have spacial awareness, you just can’t get by. Every customer looked like they were happy with the service, not just me.

It’s not fine Italian dining but if you just want to get your hands on a pile of pizza(and pasta and salad for a bit extra) in a buffet then Pizza Hut(now Pasta Hut) is a good place to go. Free refills on the soft drinks add to the value and while it may be cheaper to go elsewhere if you just want a snack, for a serious filler-upper the pizza buffet is where it’s at. Staff are friendly enough but watch for the queues at peak times it’s not unusual to see people in a long line waiting for a table(of which there are not too many at this location).
