I discovered Pelo after an appointment at a nearby hairdresser fell through my very first week living in Glasgow — I was lucky enough to be able to walk in and wait only 20 minutes on a Saturday afternoon. There I discovered Xanthe, and it’s been her every since. She’s fab, and provides a wash, cut and dry for 25 quid. I’ve been in a few times in my 10 months in Glasgow and haven’t been to anyone else there!
I have definitely seen men and women in there getting cuts, so it’s not just a lady-​salon! Please note, they only take cash — there’s a cash machine on the wall about two doors down, next to the coffee shop.
