Harold & Son Jewellers are one of those store’s that have their windows crammed full of gems and rings, jewellery of all sorts, they also buy scrap silver and gold and pay cash on the spot.

I travel far and wide for this jeweler! Future husband — take note — this is where you will be buying my engagement ring. You can pick Mr Harold’s out a mile away because the window is so jam-packed with sparkling diamonds. You can’t miss it. My mum and I once spent over an hour outside looking at everything and debating which we would like. My mum has bought a few things from here(it is outwith my price-range) and they are beautiful. All the jewelery they sell is of really high quality and really well made. When my mum wanted a new ring, they bought her ring and gave her a discounted price for her new one. The staff are wonderful too — and very glamourous. Mr Harold himself is a lovely man and really grounded. Their stock is really substantial and if there’s something in particular you want, the chances are they will have it or get it for you. Mr Harold, I salute you

Mr Harold & Son Jewellers is almost definitely my favourite jewellers in the Argyll Arcade(there are just so many to choose from!). It’s quite close to the Buchanan Street entrance, and its frontage is painted a luxurious deep green — so it’s not easy to miss. Unlike the more contemporary jewellery shops in the arcade that boast minimalist diamond displays — the windows of this jewellers are absolutely stuffed full of jewels of every type. Of course, rings(particulalry of the engagement variety) take up a lot of the space, but you’ll also find bracelets, earrings and necklaces of every variety. Although some of the pieces at Mr Harold & Son are hideously expensive(think £80,000+) they also have some much more affordable pieces that don’t skimp on quality or style. The main reason that I love this jewellers so much is that it stocks much more original pieces than modern jewellers. Whether you’re looking for a massive emerald or a more modest ruby — you’ll find it, and in any particular setting that you fancy. Now, who says you have to be engaged to look at engagement rings?!
