I’m sorry K4U, but I’m going to downgrade your rating from 4 to 3 stars for not having my outfit ready for collection on the day it was supposed to be there. I had a fairly long drive the next day to attend a conference weekend so the outfit was supposed to be available for collection between 4 and 5pm the day before. Yet when I went in to collect, there was no sign of it. Another customer was in at the time picking up his outfit so clearly it wasn’t a delivery issue, but sadly mine was nowhere to be seen, and it wasn’t even listed in the collection book for that day. The salesperson had to look it up in the original order book. Despite this administrative cock-up, they did promise to get it for me as soon as possible the next morning, and I eventually collected it at 11.30am. They provided a £50 discount voucher for«my next hire» — as long as it’s before the end of the year that is. Given that this is the first time I’ve donned a kilt in about 30 years, the chances of me redeeming that voucher are pretty slim. I would have preferred a discount on the price there and then to compensate for the inconvenience; or perhaps they could have thrown in the hip flask I bought for free instead of charging me £20 for it? The outfit itself was absolutely fine and I have no problems on that score. But the service definitely has room for improvement.
