JR’s is one of the many Duke Street hairdressers that you might easily pass by, but it’s definitely worth a wee wander inside.
This unlikely haven of hairdressing has some pretty clued up hairdressers, offering the latest styles and trends and the best in hair pampering products. When I visited for a cut and blow dry, I was treated to the loveliest Fudge shampoo and products throughout my washing and styling, with no obligation to fork out for these pricey treats afterwards. The cut was of good quality and exactly what I asked for, which is a rarity in hairdressers these days.
Although it was a little on the pricey side, I think it’s well worth treating your tresses now and again to a good quality cut that will last you for a long time. I was particularly impressed by the level of service, as I was presented with a cup of tea and a biscuit and a selection of magazines. Ah, it’s the small things that count.
