It’s a really busy pub. I and my friend visited it on a Friday night and it’s so crowded. The decoration there is special and the drink is not bad and a bit limited choices. It’s close to the river so quite nice view.

Our first Glaswegian pub visit was to the quirky, riverside Inn Deep on a sunny Thursday afternoon. Located under the arches of Kelvinbridge and overlooking the river, it was already pretty busy with drinkers taking all of the seats on the terrace outside. Thankfully there was room around one of the tables in the empty arch next to the entrance, which made for a decent people-watching spot. It’s dog-friendly here too, so bring your canine companions down(as long as they get on with other dogs and drinkers wanting to stroke them!). They have a good selection of beers, with several from Williams Bros. Brewing(who own the place) so it was great to be able to try some local ones right off the bat. It was a fine choice for a brief pit stop whilst we familiarised ourselves with the area.

I’ve never been here for food(but heard good things), but Inn Deep is one of the best places to drink in the area, especially if you love all things beer. Situated right next to the River Kelvin, making it a great spot to go to on a sunny day, it’s a small indoor bar with a nice outdoor area which has heating in it during the colder months, so can be sat in almost all year round. There’s a great selection of beers on offer, which is ever changing. The common beer sold is usually brewed by Williams Bros. who make some nice beers, including a gooseberry one(reccomended if you find it!). It’s often very busy, especially at weekends, so can be a bit tough to find a seat in at times. The outdoor area is a bonus though, and is in a sort of cave like structure so you’re protected against the elements. I often see people here with their dogs, and there’s bowls of water out for them too.

Epic pizza here. The beer selection on tap is also good. The food is always good although there seems to be one chef who is amazing at pizzas! If it is very busy I have noticed the quality of the food go down a bit but otherwise it is an excellent wee place!

This is one of my favorite places in Glasgow. The staff are always friendly and upbeat, the food has always been stellar, and they have a great selection of beers. The place is dog friendly too — huge bonus! They offer both indoor or patio seating and have the best stickey toffee pudding I’ve had yet. Definitely worth a visit if you’ve never been!

Staff called my boyfriend a «prick», attended Inn deep on Saturday night and immediately felt uncomfortable as staff looked you up and down, wouldn’t attend if your not dressed in a set manner as staff will judge you and refuse you drinks!

A wander on what turned out to be a sunny day found me at Inn Deep. A confession, it feels a little like I should have my Unilocal badge removed as this was the first time I’ve stopped at Inn Deep — I know, I know, there is no real excuse other than it being at the ‘wrong’ end of Great Western Road for me — but it won’t be my last! I managed to get a seat outside in one of the arches, which was handy as whilst it was sunny, there were some random showers. I plonked myself down with a Drygate Apple Ale, and watched the world and their dog go by. It was a brief stop, but the well stocked bar, laid back atmosphere and friendly staff — plus all the great reviews here — mean it won’t be my last visit. Just need to find a reason to get back down to that area again, c’mon the sunshine!

Inn Deep I did you an injustice. I rated you three stars when you should of been at least four. Maybe it was the thick cut chips, maybe it was that I missed big blue, maybe it was because I did not appreciate your style and cool vibe, but I do now! In a city that lacks craft beer bars this place is certainly worth a visit if like me you yearn for unusual bottles and several strangely named beer taps. I have been here loads of times. I love the beer variety, love the river view, I love the space under the arch, I love the way you let legions of dugs share the bar with the human punters and I love sitting outside on a summers day sinking a pint and watching the world go by. I won’t rate you on food. I will rate you on coolness and beer range. Your really do deserve at least 4 Unilocaly stars! Maybe one day I will have food again and get to add number 5.

What’s not to like! Great food, great location. Wonderful lunch spot. Wish we didn’t have smokers in the caisson. But this is a great spot to grab a GREAT lunch!

I feel kinda guilty doing this review as i have been drinking in this pub for quite some time now. So long in fact that my face is on the wall(prize of high five at the next Unilocal event if you find it) But then i realized that the only reason that i do frequent this pub so much over the years is on the grounds that its been a great pub from the start. Geographically its not my closest pub, there are 4 closer. So what makes me walk by those pubs and more importantly give me a longer walk back home after a few? Quite simple really. Good beer, good food and the ever important good staff. I would even go as far to say that the staff are great. I don’t say this to try and score points with them as my opinion of them has been formed over the years. But lets break it down. The beer. Now I’m a cider drinker but every now and then i will try out one of there constantly rotating guest beers or something from their fantastic range of craft beers. also nine times out of ten one of the staff to hand will have tried the beer and can tell you about it to help you make an informed choice. The food. I wouldn’t call their food pub grub as i think that is to do it a disservice. Highlights for me are the special burgers that change on an almost daily basis and for under £10 you get a great burger and chips and side salad which seems to be a rarity when you go to an actual«gourmet» burger join these days. And finally the staff. Inn deep is one of the few pubs where i feel quite comfy going in by myself for a quick pint and this is solely down to the staff. They are friendly, knowledgeable and I always get a bit of chat from them(this is usually how one pint ends up being 3). This is what turns a good pub into a great pub. a pub can have the best beer selection in the world but if the staff are crap i dont really want to give them any of my money. And that’s why Inn deep makes my few extra minutes walk totally worth while.

I’ve became a wee regular here, well so the Unilocal app tells me. Hehe! I was here last week and the week before but both times I had some eats. My last few visits have mostly been for the boozing including my last review so I thought it was about time to update on their menu. Some of us eager Unilocalers, whom will be «och ayeing» all the way in kilts to Loch Lomond, decided to meet here to arrange some of our finer Kiltwalk details. It was also great opportunity to try the Inn Deep menu. I opted for the halloumi cheese and red pepper burger with a side of their sweet sweet potato fries. Only I could turned a veggie dish carnivore and I asked for some bacon on it. It did arrive with pickles instead, maybe they thought they had misheard me. «Meat on a veggie dish? Nah she probably meant pickles.» Well unfortunately they were wrong, I cannae stand pickles, they gie me the bolk. My burger was super squeaky and salty. Ooo er! It was simply delicious. My next visit, I was with the delightful Tanya L. all the way from Edinburgh, and we stopped by for food. I have say it was super mega mahoosively busy and we only just managed to get a seat in the outside arch but unfortunately with the smokers. We did however get a wee heat from the heated lamps and were entertained by children and many many dogs. We ordered from the bar and this time I opted for some macaroni cheese with a side of those sweet sweet potato fries. Yum!!! The mac and cheese was lovely and creamy, it also comes with garlic bread but I don’t do garlic bread. Sorry! I also treated myself to a Bacchus Raspberry Bier. Help those Sweet potato fries go down nicely. If you haven’t been definitely go but I would maybe avoid getting food on a busy night like a Friday and Saturday. It can get crammed, especially with students. Inn Deep also has a tele so can become again busy especially if there’s sports on. A great wee bar to visit especially as it’s in a lovely setting of right beside the River Kelvin and the subway is just a hop skip and jump away. Not been yet? How no? Get in!

The first time I went to Inn Deep, it was a friends birthday back in September. We got a big seat in one of the arches outside next to the River Kelvin and it was a great night. Their menu is quite extensive and impressive, but what’s even more impressive is their selection of alcohol. One of new favourites is a Swedish Lemon and Ginger cider. It. Is. Amazing. and I thank the lovely Carolyn E. and her other half for introducing it to me. Brilliant. Even otherwise though does Inn Deep have an incredible selection of whisky(and they all ways have a Whisky of the Month which is very decently priced, if I may add that) but also of craft beers and other ciders. In that respect, it definitely gets five stars! The food is great, the burgers look brilliant, I’ve been told the brisket is fantastic, the pizzas are tasty with a huge selection of toppings to choose from. Last night I went for the broccoli and spinach fritters which came with a «blue cheese» dipping sauce(I put this into inverted commas for a reason, but bear with me), and my friend went for the mac and cheese, and to quote him«Seems like they don’t like cheese here». The mac’n’cheese — the cheese is in the name — were definitely lacking cheese and my «blue cheese» dip was not blue cheese, but more like a tangy mayonnaise. I liked it, but it’s a little misleading if you’re expecting blue cheese. Furthermore, they did have some sort of coriander-like spice that I wasn’t too keen on, and I found a number of peppercorns in my mouth too. Even so, there is something about that place that doesn’t convince me. Unfortunately I can’t put my finger on it. It has a super relaxed atmosphere, the staff is, for the most part, very friendly, and their choice of music is absolutely brilliant(think a little underground but if you’ve ever liked a bit of rocky beat with drums and guitars to your music, with a bit of the Roots thrown in, you’ll love it!). So there you have it, food, great music, outside seating and great music, it’s absolutely A-OK!

A Williams brothers bar you say. Well don’t mind if I do! If you’ve charted the rather meteoric rise of Williams Bros you’ll know they own this wee place along with Valhalla’s Goat. I’d been in a couple of times for a beer, but never really thought too much about the bar. They have 5 Williams Bros beers(+1 cider) permanently on tap + a rotating number of other Williams Bros/guest beers, meaning you’ll never fail for a good beer. The riverside location is a real coup for the bar, with the beer cave offering respite from the unpredictability of the Glasgow weather. It’s wildly popular during the summer months, with outdoor space at a premium from the afternoons onwards. I stopped in for some food on my way to a gig and was really impressed(and full). I ordered the Halloumi burger(what else) with mixed fries. The kitchen use an old car horn to signal when an order’s ready, given its use in old Hollywood films, I was waiting for someone to slip on a banana peel or for a swinging door to knock someone down. I was really impressed with the hand cut ‘slaw, it was chunky & had a real bite to it so you can tell it’s fresh. The huge slab of halloumi was topped with roasted pepper slices(which I love), I added Jalapeños for an extra 75p & together with the slaw was aaaamazing! I’m putting it on my top 3 veggie burgers, before we even get to the chips! I was so glad to have chosen mixture of sweet potato & regular fries because they were both cooked to perfection! Sweet potato fries are often over oiled & fried till they’re too crispy, so they lose their sweetness, not these bad boys! The regular potato fries were cooked really well & the rosemary salt contrasted the other fries really well. They also have English hot mustard instead of the ubiquitous american yellow mustard(win!). Whatever magic the Williams Bros bring to their beer, it’s obviously been passed onto the kitchen, which means I’m inn deep trouble cause I loooove this place!

This is a smashing wee bar, selling a good range of craft beer, and with an ace view of the river. I had a pint of German wheat beer — Maisel Weisse I think it was called — something along those lines anyway. It was very palatable indeed. Today I also had chips as I was hungry from the mental exhaustion brought on by our arm-knitting crafternoon. They were very good chips — thick and chunky, and fluffy on the inside. We were sitting beside the door, but it was still nice and cosy, and there’s a good atmosphere in here. It’s a great place to stop for a drink if you’re doing a walk along the Kelvin walkway. In summer, their outside beer cave is very popular with the hipster contingent. I’m probably one of them given I just arm-knitted a scarf :-)

So this place used to be one of my faves back when it Big Blu but now it just seems to lack something! It’s has a good range of beers is you are looking for a little different however you might end up overdosing on Williams Bros! Outside is nice set up on the cycle path dressed with fairy light so if you can’t get a seat inside. I have tried their food! Ok for pub grub and if your drunk enough you will eat anything… eh? Staff seem friendly ready to help you find something to your taste.

I’ve only been here once and it was for my flatmates birthday. We had outdoor seating which was perfect as the night was amazing and there were about 15 of us. We all started with drinks and decided to get food. Most of us got pizzas of various flavourings, I went for the brisket which was amazing, one of us went for the steak pie and my guy and I went for the haggis balls which were pretty tasty as well. For pub food, they really know what they’re doing. I would definitely be back for their brisket which I’m pretty picky about. The overall feel of this pub is pretty awesome. Relaxed, friendly staff, loads of beers to choose from, even interesting ciders! It gets pretty packed on a Friday, but with outdoor seating, when weather permits, it’s really a great place to be.

Popped in here for some birthday drinks last week! Not much to report other than great range of beers and ales, and at really decent prices too considering this is slap-bang in the middle of the west end. This bar would be great for anyone who has a deep affection for Williams Brother’ beers and students looking for a budget-friendly pint after skiving a lecture/to escape the upcoming buzz of fresher’s week!

A hidden, yet popular west end gem, situated at Kelvinbridge, running along the riverside. You can enter via the Gt Western Rd staircase, or round the back of Kelvinbridge subway. Though beware of cyclists and enthusiastic dog walkers! Owned by Williams Bros brewery Inn Deep caters for craft beer enthusiasts like myself. They have 5 or so regulars on tap, including my favourite, Black Ball Porter, as well as an ever changing menu of guest brewskis. It’s not the cheapest place to drink, like most craft dedicated bars, and of you’re looking for Tennents or Carlsberg, keep walking, but the quality of the beers, draught and bottle, make up for it. There’s also tap and bottled cider, and a full bar of spirits and wine, and a coffee machine for those beer haters. My favourite place to enjoy a beer is their outdoor seating area, open till 10pm, and you have the choice of a table overlooking the Kelvin, or a heated nook under the bridge. Particularly nice when the weather is turning a tad nippy. They also have a range of tasty meals to warm you up and line your belly, including the pub standards of pizza and burgers, as well as warm sandwiches. Staff are generally friendly, knowledgable about their brews, and happy to let you try before you buy.

It’s time for a THIRD review update for Inn Deep, and this time it’s to take it to 5 stars. Woohoo! I’ve been here a bunch of times now. I’d previously had feelings that there was something missing in this pub … but I couldn’t really put my finger on it. I’ve realised that it’s just the kind of place that takes a few visits to get properly comfy in, but woah — when you are — it’s like the best bean bag ever. Things I love: — The staff, they are properly friendly and awesome — The food. They have a good, varied menu(although not loads of choice if you’re gluten free) and you’ll be impressed by what’s dished up. I got nachos(again) and I’m pleased to report they were smothered all over in the cheese rather than just the top layer. — The beer, obviously. — The outdoor area — both along the walkway and in the side tunnel. If the sun is out, this is the perfect spot to visit and if it isn’t, you can still enjoy the crisp Glasgow area and the calming noise of the River Kelvin rushing by from inside the snugness of the seating area. — The tunes. Things I don’t love quite so much: — The toilet cubicles are a wee bit narrow. — There’s lots of stairs. See, there’s not really much to comment on by way of negative points. I love any excuse for a visit here and when the sun comes out, I’ll be vying for a seat along the walkway with every other man and his dog in Glasgow.

A hop, skip and a shoogle to Kelvinbridge Underground — up the ESCALATOROFDOOM(don’t run up the down one, it’s not big, it’s not clever and yes, there is video proof of me doing it on YouTube one drunken night) and across the bridge, and in the nondescript door, and down the stairs, the almost endless stairs… And contained within is Williams Bros nirvana. I’m quite partial to an ale or two(or three, or four, or five) and Williams Bros stuff is just the ticket for me. It’s not just those ales though, there’s a wide selection of guest beers and the usual spirits and what not. The layout is a bit weird at first, but it’s fine once you get a grasp on it. When/if the summer arrives, I’d imagine the outside seats are popular and give a great view of the river in full flow. There’s also plenty of skulking places for Johnny No Mates like myself to stand with a pint and try not to be noticed, and bizarrely — a great phone signal for that essential Unilocaling(nice touch with the sign at the top of the stairs encouraging you to review, too!) that simply can’t wait. The staff are capable and friendly and the prices are fair for a damn fine selection of beer. This is a place I can definitely see me going to again and again. When I come back, it’ll be for some food, I saw some mac and cheese go by that just screamed EATME. Not literally, that would be weird and a bit freaky…
