I used to almost live in the iCafes around Woodlands but somehow had never made it to this branch where I took shelter last night when the heavens opened. So, full disclosure: I only ordered a lemonade. Perhaps I’ll return soon and update the review when I’ve tried coffee and food here but I’ll do my best to share thoughts as accurately as I can for now. It’s much like the other branches with a big focus on being a comfortable place to work or browse the internet while you sip your drink. The layout is sensible and airy, no worries about crashing your chair into the person behind you. There’s a good selection of seating too, so whether your mood, purpose and companions(or lack of) are better suited to a sofa or a bar stool you’ll find what you need. The WiFi is free and the password is clearly displayed in the café. No faffing about with receipt codes necessary. So that’s nice. The staff are helpful too and not pushy with the up-selling. I got my lemonade and a glass with ice and then I was just left too it. There’s a pleasant hum of activity in the café as people work of chatter and music at an unobtrusive level. Yesterday they were playing Daft Punk but I remember always liking the music at the other iCafe branches I’d been too, and often having to get out a music identification app on my phone so I could find out what it was. My only complaint here is the entryway. It was automatic doors and not the kind where they’re only automatic for accessibility and you push a button to get them to open — they’re the kind of automatic doors you more commonly find when entering supermarkets. Now, there are two problems with this and both are location. This is Glasgow, so it can get awfully chilly. If you’re near these doors expect to be in a permanent draft as people wander in and out or even just past the café. Not only is this Glasgow, but this is Sauchiehall Street — a good number of pubs and clubs are very close by and this iCafe opens late. My guess is that they get extra customers at pub kicking out time, as well as lots of tipsy people huddling around the doorway. So maybe this is just me being fussy but I find that really off putting. However, there is more seating downstairs which I guess solves those problems. I needed to be sitting somewhere visible yesterday so I didn’t take advantage of that option. Maybe next time.

Stopped here before a show at the Kings theatre for a caffeine fix. There aren’t many options it seems in the area so even with the reviews we opted to hop in here. Busy quiet no queue. The sandwiches and pastries look lovely but we just ordered a couple of flat whites. I’ll be honest they took forever but the taste was good. Not a bad place to sit in and work but it was a little shabby on the cleanliness side. Numerous tables left Uncleaned with plates and cups still on. A bit rough and ready but not awful

I really enjoyed iCafe. On my self-guided walking tour of Glasgow, I was directed to a place just up the street from this café. I needed to charge my phone, and charge myself(caffeine), so I decided to pop in and relax for a bit and enjoy a coffee. I ordered a flat white, which ironically was also the free wifi password, and I sat down by the window facing the street and plugged in my phone at a nearby plug. The coffee was pretty good, the wifi also fast and easy to connect to, which made my afternoon better. During my time there I wandered downstairs to see a small bathroom, and awesome and comfortable-looking seating arrangement with leather chairs, and more space than upstairs overall. I also observed lots of people coming in to eat sandwiches as well. Perhaps they are good. I only had coffee. In the end, iCafe is a good place to relax, study, people-watch, or charge up(phone and you).

Tablet ice cream!!! I’ll repeat that in case you missed it. Tablet ice cream… two of my favourite things combined. So yummy. Of course they do lots of other things but I’d check out the tablet ice cream if I was you.

Walked in here for coffee & a chat with a friend, quite impressed with the coffee selection, seating & general ambiance. When back in Glasgow I will def return to this little hip trendy spot. It helps to have wifi, since it’s so scarce in Glasgow in general. So we actually spent several hours here. Nice selection of scones, pasteries & sandwiches.

Stumbled into iCafe on a rainy morning and thought it looked like a nice café. The café looked really clean and welcoming and the staff were friendly too. I love the food selection as there was loads of breakfast choices and the sandwiches looked really filling. The speciality drinks were cool too with my boyfriend taking an interest in the nutella cappucino! I was surprised to see they did ice cream too including bubblegum which is one of my favourites. The reason I’ve not given 5 stars is that the stack of pancakes I ordered tasted really bland. I’m a big lover of pancakes and there was just no taste to them. I also thought that the pricing could have been cheaper for certain items too. I’ll probably return but not if somewhere else takes my fancy!

This chain seems to be my pre-tattoo place to go! I’ve been in the iCafe on Great Western Rd as it’s near Lucky Cat Tattoo, and on the hunt for pre-tattoo caffeines and food, I saw this one on my to the Bath Street Tattoo Collective. Yay for dependable coffee places! I like this iCafe, much bigger than it looks as there are more seats downstairs, and the selection of drinks and food is good and hasn’t let me down. But more importantly, what’s the coffee like? I hear you ask! Well it’s pretty good, I don’t think it’ll ever be up there with the Papercups, Spitfires, or Gordon Streets of the world but I’ve not had a bad one yet. There is nothing particularly extraordinary about this iCafe(or the other one I’ve been in) but they do what they do well enough, cheap enough and the staff are always friendly and helpful. Marks this down as a good place that you can depend upon and soon it’ll be a little like one of the sofas they have, comfortable and welcoming. Bravo iCafe!

Its not bad. Not great. Not anything particularly slick. It just offers good quality and drink combinations that verge on hipster. The venue is rather dark with weird starburst lights that give it an intimate feeling but make it impractical to work in. There are 4 computers you can use from £1.50 per 15 minutes. This seems to be market price and regularly used. I ordered a large vanilla chai at £3.00 which, for the adverage quality, feels a bit steep. The staff are very friendly but lack any upselling ability and the décor, while neutral lacks any character there is a good menu with many options but my chai latte lacked strength. Good but not great.

This place is absolutely perfect for studying! The internet connection is stable, and very, very good coffee’s brought to your table(you still have to order it at the counter though ;-)). A lot of people bring their work with them to this place, so there’s a lot of faces staring into laptops. Therefore, the cosy café vibe isn’t as dominant as in other places, but if you have to get your head down this definitely the place to go if you ask me.

If you’re looking for a warm, cosy café — this is not it. I have visited 2 of the 3 iCafe locations in Glasgow. In both instances, I was assaulted with subarctic, icy cold temperatures. I had to keep my hat, gloves, scarf, and heavy winter jacket on, and noticed that the rest of the café was doing the same. The location, coffee, and staff are great. But the hypothermia you’ll risk isn’t worth it. There’s really no consensus as to what does or doesn’t make a «good» coffee shop — but I think«cosy» is the universally agreed-upon common thread. I’ll try again in July. ***UPDATE*** I decided to give it another try. I WASTOLDTHEYDONOTHAVEHEATING — EVER! PERIOD! The poor girl working, who looked miserable, offered me a glass of hot water to wrap my hands around. These are the conditions these poor young people have to work in during Glasgow’s bitter winters? They deserve extra tips. Shame on the managers.

Went into wait while my daughter at her gig. The place was empty so got a table straight away. The staff were friendly and served me quickly. I asked for a BLT bagel however they had no lettuce — staff were apologetic and offered me a replacement — I chose cream cheese however that was a stupid choice on my part because cream cheese does not go with bacon in my opinion. I didn’t wait long for it so that was a bonus. The cappuccino I ordered was so strong and it was cool so I was really disappointed. I didn’t ask for a replacement. I then bought the last piece of the sticky toffee loaf which was delicious. The cake broke into two pieces as the waitress transported it to a plate however by this time I was past caring(mainly because the cake was going to be more in pieces by the time I scoffed it). I’ll be back but not sure when! I’m a novice with my ipad but could not get access to the free wifi without a password and was so disappointed that staff didn’t offer the password with my coffee — people you must do better. Some customers are not whizkids when it comes to technology!

I absolutely love this place. It’s cosy, very nice coffee at decent prices and the staff is really friendly. I go often as it is just down my street, and I can spend hours there working or having a chat. Free wifi. Try the apple and mint specialty tea!

A bleak interior in various shades of beige. Food that is cheap but not inexpensive(poor quality ingredients). So far, so unimpressed. But, it was almost empty and a nice quiet place to finish my essay so if it’s always like this, I think it may be a find!

One day a friend and I went on the quest for the Holy Grail of caffeine and we were recommended iCafe. Unfortunately we picked Sunday to go on our epic quest and iCafe was closed. A day off? How very dare you!(Only kidding… not really… ok a little bit). Fear not! I did eventually sample the delights that iCafe had to offer when I took a walk along Sauchiehall street to Kelvin Grove. I stopped in to iCafe and ordered a take away coffee and a wonderful mars bar crispie cake. I haven’t been back yet as I’m not in that neck of the woods often BUT next time I am I would gladly go back to try some of the other foody stuffs.

Finally! We have a coffee shop other than your usual Starbucks that is open in the evening. It has a nice, clean modern layout and relaxed atmosphere. Great selection of Breakfast served till midday. Tapas, pizzas, baked potatoes and a tasty display of calorie laden cakes… Mmmmmm!!! You gotta try the Toffee Tiffin triangles… Soooooo gooooood!!! Great coffee too!!! I had the latte but am yet to try their flat white. So many places get this wrong so that will be the big test. Will report back on this at a later date and decide whether they deserve a 5 star.

One of glasgow’s newest eateries in glasgow city centre serving great selection of beverages and food shame it’s taken this long got them to open one near me. On offer they have a selection of breakfasts scrambled eggs on with toast, porridge to pancakes, tapas jacket potatoes to pizzas, free wifi and Internet. Downstairs has extra seating that has a trendy feel and feels more a pub or private room in a club. The main door is automatic like a store and a staff only sign that looks like something out of Star Trek, also available is fresh orange juice from real oranges. I like this place and what they are trying to achieve.
