The actual eye test itself was efficient, however. The prescription was withheld preventing me from purchasing a second pair of glasses from another retailer. Attempting to force me into purchasing a second pair from their limited range. The assistant did explain that I could go elsewhere and by new frames then go back to Hughes McHugh for then to fit the lenses, for a further fee. I found the shop staff to be polite, but condescending and smug. Incidentally, the purchased glasses fell apart after 10 weeks wear. Now repaired and I hope I shall never have any need to return to this unprofessional operation.
