The best bit of Houlihan Pharmacy(we’re going to start with the positives) is the fact that it’s open until 7pm almost every night of the week. This is great if, like me, you tend to leave picking up prescriptions till the very last minute. Other good points are that it’s bright and clean and has a fairly good selection of over-the-counted medicines. Now for the not so positive points. It has an extremely limited stock of the none-medicine products that you would normally expect to find in a pharmacy. You won’t be picking up any shampoo or lipstick on an impulse here — because they don’t really sell any. Plus, the Houlihan pharmacy is pretty faceless — and you probably won’t find any personalised or friendly service there. In fact, I don’t think the woman behind the counter even said a single word to me when I handed over my prescription. She kind of held her hand out and then flounced away with it without even giving me a second glance. In short, I will be going back to some of the much nicer chemists up the road next time.
