OK, it’s Gregg’s and it does exactly what you’d expect… cheap & cheerful food. I do enjoy their hot sausage rolls & chicken pasties, is that wrong? Don’t care as on a cold & wet lunch break it hits the sport nicely, just don’t do not too often or you’ll see your waistband expand :( I’ve not sat in as it is normally busy and it doesn’t look the warmest place to sit however the staff are friendly and no matter how busy it is they always have a smile.

Excellent sandwich! Had a sausage roll inside a buttered roll. Thanks for the recommendation Glasgow host.

Greggs. What can I say. Not the healthiest option but when you’re desperate for coffee and cake and can’t get a seat in Cup or Patisserie Valerie, it’ll do. The cupcake(chosen by friend’s kid) was ok, the icing is extreme sugaring! Coffee was cheap and quite nice. For a shop that has a couple of bars and stools to let you eat in, and sells a gazillion sausage rolls and pasties each day –they should invest in more regular cleaning. It was filthy and covered in bits of pastry. I would only recommend it as a last resort — we all know now what their sausage rolls are made of!

The Greggs is one of the biggest stores that I’ve been in. But as with all greggs you kinda need to either get there early enough when its between 12&1pm ish as the que can literally be near enough out of the door. What selection of sandwiches, pasties, pizzas, soup(In some branches if not in all) & other sweets n savouries that they might have are good at times. As well as having some friendly staff & food at a good price. Though I guess I’ll have to hunt for a place similar like greggs but with the seating of subway but have the elements of both combined without it being another run of the mill McD’s or BK.

I am mentiooning this Greggs as part of a love hate relationship I have with it. Newly revamped, the store itself looks pretty midern for a bakers, with a seating area and frisges to pick things from. The problem I have being that my most loved item, the cup cake, is too often not available here. The cup cakes I am talking about come in either raspberry and lemon and cost only 55p each or £1.99 for four. Raspberry is much better though. The thing is that this Greggs in particular seem to run out of both raspberry and lemon very early in the day, and even worse at weekends. I am obviously not the only one that loves these, but I really wish it wasn’t such an anit-climax going in just to find there is none. I have, as a consequence to this, moved my business to the nearby and much less busy store a few streets along. But no doubt I will be back because I like this one, it is always sunny.
