Danceland does everything you’d expect a dance shop to do, and admittedly I don’t know that much about this arena other than some bare essentials, but this shop seems like it’s got what you would need. Places like this seem geared towards youngsters(namely girls) who want to look the part at their tap/ballet/modern classes, but I foggily remember from classes like this I used to take that there were some uniform requirements, which this shop sells. Court shoes and the wee lycra dance costumes usually come in at the same price so you can’t really shop around, but this shop is handy for people who don’t want to traipse into town to acquire such things. Moreover, there are neon socks and tutu’s galore should that take any lassie’s fancy. I can imagine once in a blue moon that the students at Murano may find this very useful indeed should a neon/80s night be hosted at one of the unions. It’s hard to rate dance shops because(from my untrained eye) they mostly look the same, but you can’t argue with their extensive costume selection. I do love leg warmers. But I can imagine this place will be good for a mum on the run after her daughter informs her hours before a massive dance showcase that she needs a new pair of tap shoes. But what makes this shop especially useful is that the lady who owns it apparently goes the extra mile for customers, ordering stock in when requested and even doing the occasional home delivery! With that kind of effort she’s assuring that all’s good in the hood. I can remember how stressful dance shows used to be(for my mum) so this lady is by all means doing a public service to neighbouring parents.
