I think this would be a good place to stop pre concert at 02, pre-cinema at Quay or even after going to one of the places in the Kinning Park activity zone(kids party at Wonderworld, skating at Rollerstop, bouldering at the Climbing Academy or bouncing at Ryze). Don’t let the odd looking exterior or seemingly out of the way location put you off(it used to be a pub, and is opposite a cash and carry) — it is easily reached by foot from Bridge Street subway(which is also the nearest Nextbike stance) or bus from town/further afield. You could also easily walk from town as it is just over the bridge. I was in by myself on this occasion, I had a quite productive day so wanted a wee treat… I ordered a «Nutella desire waffle» and I’m not sure quite what I expected but when it arrived I was very impressed with the portion size; this was far from a wee treat– it was enormous! It did take a while to arrive, but the waffle was freshly made. The staff were friendly and although it was quiet(there were only 3 other people in) the background music was neither too loud or too quiet. There are booths which seat 4 or 6, tables which could sit larger groups and also bar stool type seating(next to a row of iPads, which you can use, although as I had my own phone with me I did not try them out). Drinks wise you can have pots or cups of interesting sounding teas(«mojito mint», «Mr Grey» or «Scottish Brew»), the full range of coffee types, Snapple, J20(and the usual soft drinks). I would return to try new flavour of ice cream(or see what the ‘cold stone’ thing is like, I have not heard of that before where you choose flavours and toppings then they mix this together on a special stone and serve it delicately for you– there is a video on their Facebook page of this). It would be great with bigger groups too as you could try different things from the menu. They even do protein shakes. perhaps some people from the nearby gyms would find that useful!
