5 Stars? Yes, this is a great wee café. I brunch here most weekends. It’s pretty basic fayre(fry ups, soup, baked potatoes, panini’s), never badly cooked. Great ice cream too if you’re passing on a hot or particularly gluttonous day.

Café Roma is a new kid on the block at The Toll, it’s very modern and painted a clean crisp white colour so that it always looks fresh. It seems to have become quite popular as there’s usually a fair few people sitting in having a lunch. I usually get a roll and sausage in the morning from here before starting my day, if I’m here during the summer I’ll get something for lunch and then head across the road the Boni’s for a good old-fashioned ice-cream.

One of the newer places to pop up on Busby Road, Café Roma does the usual greasy spoon fare, but better than many of it’s rivals. It’s always busy at breakfast and lunch times, which is a good sign. I was in a hurry so just got a roll and sausage to take away. It tasted exactly as you’d imagine it would, and the guy who served it was very cheery and gave me a paper to read while i waited. Unfortunately it was The Daily Mail. The cakes and ice cream looked cracking, so i’ll put them on the«to do» list for the next visit.
