After experiencing a few mishaps at two of what were my trusted places, it was time to seek a new salon to get the olé brows preened. Virginia Court is sort of a hidden gem within Merchant City, housing the likes of Rock Lobster, Brutti and the Beauty Store. Once I grew out my lush black brows, I hightailed it to the Beauty Store for an appointment after work. While compact, the salon is organised and clean and the staff is friendly and professional. Brows are done in the back so you’re not on full display to Brutti patrons. I explained to the therapist exactly what happened, and how I like to keep my brows natural and thick. The threading was quick and effortless, and results were exactly what I wanted. There were no snapped hairs, bald spots, thinned brows, or hairs trimmed too short. While the Beauty Store does charge over double for threading of most ethnic salons, for now it’s a price worth paying for the quality received. Bonus: they didn’t try to talk me into thinning out my brows. The surprised Chola look is not my style… sorry.

I have been to this salon many times and have always been impressed! I love how its right in the centre of town and I can just pop in if I need a spray tan or my nails done. The staff are consistently professional and you can get special offers each month. I have yet to be disappointed!

I have had facials in 5 star hotels in L.A., Bermuda, Africa, India, Europe and all over Britain, but never had such a lovely experience as I had in the Beauty Store. My therapist, Gillian, was absolutely superb — spent a fabulous hour on a comfortable bed under a warm duvet(heated hot water bottle before I went in) being absolutely pampered by a expert therapist who knew everything there was to know .PERFECT and can’t wait to go back. Price? less than many similar studios in Glasgow and they do DERMALOGICA,(God’s gift to the beauty world!) THANKYOUBEAUTYSTORE, WITHYOUAGAINSOON. Lady McLean-Smith.

This is without a doubt thee best beauty place in Glasgow. Located in a quiet courtyard just off Royal Exchange Square. Extremely central. They offer a very extensive treatment menu from spray tans, waxing, nails and even the odd botox. Always such a pleasure to visit with friendly and helpful staff. Recently fully refurbished to offer a bright and modern interior which makes you feel relaxed instantly. Website is great and offers information on all their treatments inc prices which is helpful. They also offer packages on some treatments so if you want 2 or 3 at the same time it brings the price down. Only downside I. can think of is they no longer offer free wine during treatments which used to really help with the relaxation. Still 5 star tho.
