best bar on the gallowgate before a game or a concert, very very crowded but great atmosphere, drink very reasonable !

A legendary Celtic pub, no frills, good for a sing song and a few beers on the way to the game. Welcomes supports from all teams(except rangers) and the staff are friendly and welcoming. On top of that the drinks are dirt cheap.

Rough and ready, no frills pub for Celtic fans. It does get very crowded, but it’s a far friendlier crowd than the Brazen Head, which is a pub where even His Holiness Pope Benedict XVI could walk in and be viewed with suspicion for not being a regular. Definitely a worthy curio for the football tourist who wants a taste of authentic Glasgow football passion.

Been there before we went to the Celtic match. Lots of great people and cheap beer but really really crowed. But I would go there again :)

An institution in the Allocate east end of Glasgow and the first truly Celtic bar in the Allocate, if not in Glasgow, Bairds holds a place in all the hearts of all Celtic fans. Known the world over as the Celtic pub, Bairds has been around since 1842 and claims to be the only pub in the Allocate to have never changed its name. A must visit for all Celtic fans, especially on match day as the place is heaving with those heading to an from the game and those just there for the match day experience. Just don’t wear a blue top. The walls inside act as a history book showing the great and the good from this clubs long history and offer the opportunity to while way the hours just looking about. As far as drinks and prices are concerned, its so not important. If you’ve decided to come here you will not be concerned as to whether there prices are comparable with the west end or if they have Budvar on tap. Pint of non specific and be prepared to let your hair down.

No visit to Glasgow is complete without a visit to Baird’s. You might want to dress smartly, though casually for an evening, or even afternoon you will never forget. The wine list is excellent and I particularly recommend the Château du Pape Neuf stocked therein. Whilst there I sampled many small authetic Scots whiskies and relaxed among convivial company and stimulating conversation!

Great when Celtic play at home but can get extremely busy, full of weird and wonderful characters, very very friendly and fun. A must for those who want to see the real glasgow rather than the touristy sites. Cheap drink as well.
