Avoid all all costs.
Terrible service, terrible food, terrible coffee.

When l used to live just of victoria road l used to come here for my breakfast and a coffee. There is table service available and counter service for tale away. The food has always been good here and you get good banter with the staff. I only down side is that l think they are trying to do too much there is so much on the menu that you would need at least half an hour to read through it all.

Aubergine is on a site that has seen many cafes: this one is slightly more up market but still attracts a good, constant presence of locals, either enjoying the atmosphere or meeting for a serious gossip.
The service is leisurely, the coffee range predictably but more than worth a stop: the food might not be too adventurous but it is served in good sized portions and a sense of presentation. Most importantly, the ingredients are fresh and often healthy: the salad in the sandwiches is crisp and wholesome.
