Thought I’d do a wee review for the(not so) new Aroma Cafes that have popped up in various Glasgow NHS hospitals & the like. I was reet excited when I heard there were new coffee shops opening up in the Royal Infirmary as I was working there at the time and I have to say at first I was pretty impressed… but unfortunately it seems over the past year or so it isn’t quite as good as it used to be. Firstly they used to sell this top notch, super tasty biscotti THEN I think somebody must’ve complained that biscotti wasn’t ‘healthy’ enough for an NHS-run café. Doh. Killjoys. So I never saw the beloved biscotti again *sob* Had a couple of different types of coffee here: cappuccino & their(used-to-be-ever-changing-but-not-anymore)filter coffee. The cappuccino was okay — had much better & in my opinion was a wee bit weak/too milky. The filter coffee was nice & is also the cheapest coffee they sell so I stick to that now whenever I go there. They sell a range of food things which I’ve never tried(beside the now extinct biscotti) and apparently ’50% of(their) products are lower in sugar, fat & salt’ All good but sometimes when I’m drinking a coffee I don’t always want an apple with it. Hmph. Aroma — you’re getting there but you could do a wee bit better.
