Love Aldis, great value for money. Today I only popped in for a few things, do it was a quick run around however, the store is a reasonable size. There is free, parking to the front of the store and ample trolleys to use but they due require a £1 coin.

Friendly staff and a decent selection of food and non food stuffs. The only downside is that their veg goes off faster than veg from larger supermarket chains, but a good wee shop.

I am a huge fan of Aldi, particularly their fruit, veg, beer and wine. Anyone who thinks I’m a jakey for the latter two should know that a huge wine snob friend of mine says you can get top quality vino in this supermarket for £2. So there. This Clydebank branch is pretty big and well stocked. The staff have been very helpful every time I have visited.

Aldi has become the new«it» supermarket. A national newspaper the other week even had an article about how middle class shoppers are flocking in droves from Marks and Spencer and Sainsbury’s to this German gem. Fair enough. The fruit and vegetables are top notch and there are brilliant offers on quality toiletries such as Laura Mercer. But it’s the weekly deals on electronics that are really worth looking out for. Just to tease us, Aldi only get several of the cameras, laptops or whatever they are flogging at the time, so you need to be at the store sharpish on the first day of the offer.
