If Raj Rani is fully booked then Meridian Spice is probably the next best thing in Rainham. They are right across the street and have a lot more space but they can be a bit hit or miss with larger groups as visits when our party was 10+ we ended up waiting almost 2 hours for food. Service tends to be a lot better during the week, especially at lunch times as the restaurant is a lot quieter. Food is good here and the portions sizes fair. If you have a special request(extra hot ect) they are happy to accommodate and they also have a full bar. It does tend to get very busy here so I would recommend booking during busier times(Friday through Sunday). No private parking but there is always space in the car park behind the Cricketers so the walk isn’t too far. 3.5 stars overall.
