They lend credibility to the horrid on site car rental agency, easirent. Hilton must do a much better job on vetting who they allow their property to be aligned with.

I had an early flight out of Gatwick, so I booked a room at this hotel. At check-in, I asked to have a room in the new wing. I was not given this option despite having HHonors status. I was given an older room. I was told that there was tons of soundproofing, but sadly this was not true. Planes, conversations, and door slams. It left me a tad annoyed. The price is good, but since I was placed in the older rooms… the review is a tad lower. The phone was literally falling apart in my room. Only two pillows, no additional ones in the closet. There is a M & S and a Boots in the airport by the train station. I got dinner from M & S, and did not try the food at the hotel.

Ok only spent one night here so I cannot comment on every facet the hotel. The important stuff, as with(in my experience) all Hiltons the bed was the usual quality and my nights sleep was very good. I usually suffer from 1st night little sleep in hotels but not this one. The food experience was okay but nothing special. There is a bar on the ground floor to the left. Don’t be fooled by the reception area on the ground floor. This is used by the car rental company that operates out of the hotel. The real reception area is at the top of the escalator. Opposite the check in area is another bar/Resturant. The food in this Resturant was, in my opinion, better than what I saw downstairs. The staff were all helpful as you would expect from a Hilton. It is very convenient if you need to stay over night next to Gatwick airport. I have to say that alternative hotels are available in the area!

The location of this hotel right outside the airport makes it far more convenient than most airport options, although the directional signage could do with an update here and there for clarity! All the food and drink options at the hotel were outrageously expensive. Worth bearing in mind rather than just leaving your stomach’s fate in the lap of the Hilton’s. The bed in our room was very creaky. It was hard to move without disturbing whoever you happen to sleeping alongside. I guess our stay wasn’t especially bad, but for what we paid I will always expect a lot more than this and therefore will look for other options next time.

Really nice huge hotel woth nice rooms, very close to airport terminal building(3 – 5 mins walk). A lot of restaurants inside and good opportunities and locations for business meetings.

One of the things I much prefer about Gatwick compared with Heathrow is the convenience of have 2 hotels right in the terminals. After my flight getting late one afternoon from Atlanta and dealing with jetlag and no sleep on the plane since leaving Ontario, CA. I’m popped and it’s nice to have a hotel that is just a few minutes walk once you clear customs and immigration. The Hilton is well priced and the rooms are comfortable, there is also a Marks and Spencer’s supermarket all located within the airport on the way to the trains(Gatwick Station).

I had a pleasant stay here. I was upgraded to a business suite because I am in Hilton Honors. I wish I explored the hotel more, but I was only there for one night. The room had a comfy bed, flat screen TV, shower and full bath. I would stay again if I am in the area.

I couldn’t have thought of a better way to cap off my UK trip. The prior hotel holds your luggage, you run about town, eat, grab Irn Bru, Cadbury chocolates, ginger beer & other comestibles then it’s off via train to Gatwick. In the morning, it’s a 5 min normal walk with luggage or less if you go faster after amping up with coffee from the hotel to checking in at the airport. What a strategy! I also had the luck to get upgraded to an Exec room with its concomitant free lounge access with evening happy hour with canapes & European breakfast. I could list all the excellent foods but this would be way too long & then nobody would bother to read it. Suffice it to say that I only checked in 1 hour before & it was a breeze. 2 carryons still ok! With exchange rate it was worth $ 120 with 17.5% fees/taxes or 75GBP for my hotel stay but their board is posted at 233.33GBP.
