About 15 years ago this used to be my local, with plenty of real ales and even a few good lagers, and the time it was one of Felixstowe’s top places. I was in there a few months ago, and it’s gone down hill and I doult I will be going back there for another 15 years.

The Cork is ideally situated on the seafront and very close to the Spa Pavilion. The atmosphere is great and it is always busy on a Friday and Saturday night. Like the Grosvenor, this is close to a student pub as the people are generally quite young aging from 18 to 25. There is a regular karaōke slot and there are regular bands playing there. The beers are your standard set of Carlings, Carlsberg’s, John Smiths and Budweiser and the staff, when you can hear them, are very friendly. Some have likened it to a ‘youth club’, but those were over 50 but on the whole, if your young, fancy a sing song and are up for beers, bands and pool, then you will be happy in the cork.
