This bank is utterly ridiculous — they simply refuse to have sufficient desks manned on a Saturday, meaning that the queues back up to the extent that I’ve had to queue for 15 minutes before being served. It’s not like they don’t know that Saturdays are their busiest time, so why don’t they have more staff on the desks? Your guess is as good as mine. Perhaps they want people to be discouraged from putting their money away? Banks have been known to make stupid decisions so I wouldn’t put it past them! Anyway, I don’t use my Natwest account anymore since it has a poor rate of interest, and I haven’t closed it because of the paperwork required.
