Very friendly diner/café. As long as you’re not looking for anything other than fried food, it does just about everything that you want. Somehow getting your cup of tea in a battered old mug, adds to the charm!

Simply put. The best place to get a good fry up in Exeter. Great value for money and a very friendly atmosphere.

So, I was travelling home to London all the way from Penzance at stupid o’clock on a Sunday morning. My mate and I had decided to get an early start after a terribly uncomfortable night under canvas outside a wedding marquee and right next to a noisy generator(long story) and were in dire need of sustenance as we found ourselves approaching Exeter. My shiny new iPhone got major bonus points for helping me find a breakfast place that didn’t involve us setting foot in an awful service station or taking a massive detour in to Exeter itself(where no cafes seemed to be opening until 10.30 anyway) — Den’s Delights it was! My friend the driver voiced concern over whether we’d even be allowed in, seeing as we were obviously not long distance drivers and I was still all gothed up from our gig the night before but I prefer an adventure over nasty, overpriced service station stuff any day so we braved it and of course were absolutely welcome. The place was surprisingly large, cheery and very friendly, serving big filling fryups(I can vouch for the vegetarian option — YUM) for about a fiver served with good strong tea. Refreshed, we dabbed our mouths, bid adieu to the good people of Marsh Barton Industrial Estate and were on our merry way.
