When i first heard about Vadi i was sceptic but my friends took me there and i had a great dinner! A lot of food and very cheap! The staff very hard working! It is a great place to eat when u don’t want to cook at home :)

ANOTHER turkish restaurant in enfield, fairly good quality, nothing amazing, huge portion sizes and cheap. Customer service ranges from ‘threatening’ to ‘average’ Has any one ever refused to pay the bill at a Turkish restaurant? I think you’d end up in the Doner.

After a pleasant walk through the Lee Valley, I was in need of a proper lunch… and the Unilocal App guided me to this place in Ponder’s End. I ordered the Mixed Shish(şiş) chicken and lamb as well as a hellim(halloumi) appetizer. For some reason, the guy behind the counter seemed to be in a very unpleasant mood and I just didn’t «feel it» here. Luckily, I’d ordered it for take-away and so I soon sat down on a nearby park bench to eat my well-deserved lunch. Unfortunately, the food was just alright — after the positive reviews that had lured me here, my exceptions were rather high. The best thing about the dishes was the chili sauce, which was nice and spicy.

Vadi ain’t bad(i)! Having driven past quite a few times and being curious to check it out I ended up popping in for a takeaway on the way back from Stanstead after a lovey long weekend in Cork with my man. I went for my favourite Turkish dish — lamb shish — yes, it’s simple, but when done well it’s simply immense(and healthy!) It came with salad as well as our choice of rice or bulgar wheat. I went for the bulgar wheat. We also got some grilled hallumi and pastry rolls filled with feta and parsley. Mmm, cheese! They even threw in a free bottle of Pepsi with our order! Yay! The restaurant is large and even at 6ish on a Monday evening it had a fair amount of diners including a lot of Turkish patrons — always a good sign! We took our dinner home — the lamb was succulent with a hint of spice giving it a great kick of flavour, they gave plenty of bulgar wheat and salad. The hallumi was its usual squeaky, salty self too — yum! All in all: great Turkish food, great value, great service and handy location. No Turkish restaurant can hold a candle to my beloved Durum(in Finchley Central) but Vadi sure does give it a good go!

As good as it gets, food is amazing! HUGE portions, always fresh and great value for money. My family go there at least once a week… TOP Turkish food!!!

The star is for the service only. Noisy, cramped, tables are laid out like school dinners. Food hygene was poor with the uncooked food in plain sight near the ever open front door. Good value — yes — however — the food was either overcooked or bland. The meal I had looked more like a Bushtucker Trial than an appetising main course! Not for the feint hearted — sorry — MUSTDOMUCHBETTER!

This is a great place to visit — the food s great and portions are huge — so make sure you are hungry before you go. The staff are really friendly and it’s not that expensive either. I did have one concern and that was nearly every other plate was chipped or cracked which is a breeding ground for bacteria which did worry me. I chose not to eat from those plates but the party I was with did and they were all fine. When I go again I will point this out, which I would have done last time it was just a friend picked this place and I didn’t want to make a scene on their birthday.

It does not get any better than Vadi — I cannot get enough of this place! The food is amazing; well-cooked, beautifully presented and HUGE portions — you’ll be shocked to see the mixed grill… it looks more like The Giant Grill! A great selection of starters — humous is of course the necessity considering it’s Turkish food and some haloumi cheese… mmm! My favourite main has to be the lamb sheesh that comes with an amazing fresh salad and rice with fennel seeds — impeccable! I recently went 9 of my girlfriends — we ate so much we thought we’d potentially explode and then we finally did when the bill came…£60 somethings for NINEOFUS… SHOCKFACTOR, much??! Amazing.
