This is one of my all-time favourite garden centres. Quite a claim, I have been to many, I love gardening… and I’m still a way off 50 years old! Told about this place by a neighbour who talked of this magical land where plants were of fantastic quality and un-London-like low prices. In order to access this place you have to go in through what looks like a persons front driveway and then into a set back car park. Is a bit weird, a bit of a tight fit, but trust me, it’s there. They have a great array of on-location grown plants by season and a host of greenhouses that you can wander through to pick up your seedlings and one also dedicated solely to a fantastic selection of bulbs. They often have bulk buy offers on too. Shrubs, trees, fruit trees, annuals, grasses, hedging… you name it they have probably got it. So why does this not get 5 stars you ask? Well, there is one key thing missing form this place that I’m sure would be a worthwhile investment for them: a café. Their demographic are the types of people who like to take their time to see everything, then pause, and then carry on going. There is nowhere to take that pause, and that unfortunately often means that people end their mooch around much quicker than they otherwise would. Oh, handy tip, they do have toilets, but they are at the end of the car park and not in the garden centre itself. A little weird, but at least they have them
