I actually really like this Timpsons. The guys that run it are solid and realy obliging. I have however had serious issues getting my shoes resoled here. Although I think this may mainly be because my feet were too big for the shoes to start with. However they looked REALLY good.
I must admit that while the fix did not take they elected to fix the shoes barely glancing at the receipt shoeing the repair they had made a few weeks earlier.
So in all I’d say– top stuff, they’re great guys; but they might not fix your shoes properly.

Having needed the services of a shop like Timpson’s twice in almost as many weeks, I have to admit that this place sorted me out lickety split.
I popped in for a watch battery. The guy behind the counter took my pocket watch and replaced its ticker in about 5 minutes while I waited for him. Painless, quick and a reasonable price; it was £9 for a new battery.
I’d prefer to give my business to an independent, but these chain stores keep popping up in convenient locations. They do place great emphasis on their family underpinnings and investment in their staff, so it made me feel slightly less of a traitor (but not much).
