This is a really great place to come whether you want to while away the hours on a boring Sunday afternoon or make a night of it on a Saturday night. The place is predominantly used for playing snooker, pool and darts but you can also grab a pint and enjoy a meal here too.
You can book online for a table, but there is normally always a table available for use. The prices are for half hour slots and are more expensive in the evening than they would be in the morning, but generally very between £1.50-£1.90. I generally go here to just kill a few hours, but if you want to get competitive, there are competitions held here as well.
They also serve food here at pretty reasonable prices, I had a burger and chips and it only cost £3. They also do alcohol, which can be expensive but they usually have a special offer on for a certain drink which cuts the price a bit.

The New Yorker on London Road is quite a good place if you want a game of pool or snooker. I have only been in this place for a drink and a couple of games of pool. The pool did not cost very much and the drinks were cheaper than your average Edinburgh bar. And on top of this, the pool tables actually were in working condition, a rarity in some bars!
The décor inside is quite modern, which suggested to me that this place had recently undergone a make over. It was pretty quiet when I paid this place a visit, but a member of staff did say that during the weekends it did get much busier.
A decent place for a few pints and a game of pool, or if your feeling brave, a game of snooker.
