The Breakfast Club

the food was soooooo gooooood.
I got the pulled pork, and it’s really easy to get pulled pork wrong, but this place got it perfectly right with a twist along the way. The pork was served with a side of tortilla chips, beans, rice, and a tasty sauce made of mint — this sauce was what set this place apart for me. I also ate some of my friends chips with a chili mayo sauce they brought out. I was eating it so barbarically because it was the best kind of combination.
This place just opened so I’m really excited to see what it turns into, but as a start, really impressed!
Imagine eating good food with great music playing in the background, you can’t go wrong!

Three stars for the new kid in Edina, with another star hovering reeeeeaally close by for the potential that this place has.
The furnishings felt a bit on the sparse side — just another sign of how new the place is. Still smelling of fresh paint, I had to catch myself a few times so as not to lean against the walls — dry to the touch, but not quite yet dry enough to handle my late night leaning tendencies :)
Was there for opening night and mainly for the gig, so I can’t say anything about the food that’s supposedly going to be offered. Actually, now that I think about it, I don’t recall seeing a menu, but I gather that is yet to come! Drinks were priced at standard Edinburgh levels, perhaps a tad bit on the inflated side. Hey, that’s the city center for you.
I’m not sure that we’ll seek it out for its culinary offerings as there’s just soooo many other great places to explore, however this location has *major* potential as a rocking venue for live music and club nights. With a healthy sized bar upstairs on the main/​entrance floor (many bottles full and as yet unopened so get crackin’ people!) and a generous floor downstairs (also with a modified bar offering), it’s a place where bands can uncompromisingly let ‘er rip and roar, all within that lovely intimate space.
