Wer in Edinburgh etwas abseits vom unmittelbaren Touristenstrom um Burg, Princess Street und Holyrood House auf Entdeckung gehen will, den sei der Stadtteil Stockbridge empfohlen.
Der Bön Vivant liegt mitten drin, er ist auch noch ein Pub mit sehr gutem Essensangebot. Hier wird auf Qualität der Ausgangsprodukte und eine moderne, ansprechende Zusbereitung großen Wert gelegt.
Der Weg hierher lohnt allemal. Natürlich auch für das Bier, Ale oder den Whisky.
Das Personal ist übrigens überaus freundlich.

Not long after our first visit to the Bön Vivant, we were lovingly calling it ‘Bön Viv.’ That can only be a good thing. The BV is all lit candles and freshly shaken cocktails; and I dig that.
I had a lovely gin cocktail that packed one heck of a punch. We lost track of time in the Bön Vivant, and promised ourselves we’d be regulars. There’s a really great atmosphere in the bar which makes it just the spot for unwinding with a drink. Although, I’ve noticed that it can get very busy, which, if you’re just wanting to nestle in the corner with a book, might be off-​putting.
If I want a quick drink in my jeans and jumper, I might pop into a cosier pub nearby, but when I’m all dressed up and want to sip cocktails, then the Bön Viv it is!
