This Dalry Road branch of Save The Children is, as Marj said, very well stocked and well organised too with a great window display to attract punters like myself in. I was drawn in by a cute Bunnykins clock and christening mug that was displayed in the window. I have lots of beautiful Bunnykins sets from when I was younger and I’ve always wanted to add to my collection. The clock was gorgeous and was a reasonable £12.50 and each mug was only £5, they were in pristine condition and would make an excellent gift or look good in any collection. I decided to browse the rest of the shop and found a good selection of books, bric-à-brac and CD’s along with a huge range of tapes, particularly of classical music, all at bargain prices. The staff were friendly and I enjoyed browsing this branch as it felt like a treasure trove and although it’s quite small, I spent ages here just browsing.

This little branch of Save the Children is always manned by friendly volunteers, and is kept very clean! Tidy and orderly, they usually acquire a similar stock to neighbouring Shelter — a hodge podge of designers and high street brands. Their donations are kept in good nick and they have a large number of books. It’s cosy and a good resource if you just can’t afford to head on down to the high street. You may find a bargain and your money is going to a much more ethical source!
