I just want to say that there is a guy that works in your restaurant, Sean or Shaun ? What a nice pleasant young man he is, always got a nice few words to say and nothing is a bother for him! It’s guys like this that you need to have in your restaurant! Keep up the good work!

This place is definitely not for the«Faint Hearted» It’s down right depressing. The staff are well. Less than cheery which I’ve always found it to be rather odd. As McDonalds is surely aimed at Kids?.. No? It’s all business now… You can see it in the staffs faces as they slowly«zombie walk» around wether it be sweeping the overly salted cold chips from the floor. Or sympathetically handing a ball of breath to some poor child that’s trying to figure out what the happy meal toy actually does?. The image of the restaurant. If you’d call it that definitely has changed over the years.

Ok, it’s weird I’m going to review a McDonalds. Usually I don’t. Usually, I get my Maccie Ds in times of dire, dire need(stress, break ups, looong nights out). I’m fairly use to McDonalds being like a war zone. Dirty tables, people falling over, all that jazz. I was pleasantly surprised when I needed to kill some time in the Drumbrae(ish) area and went in to get a coffee. The place was clean. This seemed to be completely down to one woman who was meticulously and continuously combing the entire place and making sure everywhere was spotless. There also seems to be some magic going on and it was really easy to ignore the loud, screaming children. I think they’ve done something fancy with the layout of the place. For the(rare) pleasant McDonalds experience this place deserves five stars. Additionally, there isn’t much in the area in the way of cafes and it definitely fills a gap. Alas, it’s still a McDonalds and my spontaneous chips(chips and coffee is totally a thing) have had the usual negative effects(6 weeks breakout free, then I had some McDonalds chips!) If you’re passing and starving definitely head on in!

The good thing about Mcdonalds, for me, is that you know what to expect. The only things you need to help you on your way are a straw and a serviette. I find the drinking of the shake through the straw quite a challenge and start wishing they supplied spoons. However, good advice from the Embalmer had me stirring the shake with the straw and that made life easier. You accept eating out of disposable shapes and that’s part of the experience.

This is an excellent outlet and there is never a big queue. I would recommend caution however as the drive through road takes one round the outside of the building. This is very narrow with tight turns and I sometimes have bounced up onto a kerb getting out. However by comparison I would always choose this outlet for its good service.
