Love this shop. It’s full of fun and quirky stuff; clothes, accessories and random bits and pieces. I got my ‘I heart toast’ toaster here. Joy’s staff members are really friendly too, making it a pleasant shopping experience.

Joy is a sort of independent Urban Outfitters but the more and more I visit I realise that the items here aren’t as good quality and are the very same price, there aren’t really and real bargains to be had here. I saw a nice sailor type dress here the other day but it was really worth the £50 price tag so I left empty handed. There are various Joy shops dotted around the UK and there’s another one in Edinburgh in Princes Mall, there used to be one in Glasgow but it shut down a few years ago but all the stock was left there exactly how it had been during trading which was a little bit eerie walking past the same window display as it was left like a ghost shop for months and month… and months. They do have some nice clothes though and some quirky tops. They also have some silly gifts such as false moustaches and such. I adore the layout of this shop and they even have polka dot umbrellas hanging from the ceiling — how cool! It’s a nice, brightly lit shop that is very well organised and the fabulous layout makes it very inviting indeed.

First time I’ve visited this store and me likey! It’s bang-on-trned fashion for ladies and gents with some funky homewares and gadgets thrown in. Sounds a bit like Urban Outfitters I know, and it kinda is but thankfully the prices are more reasonable. Great gift ideas and some unusual cards too. The staff were really friendly and chatty and I was very pleased when they told me there is another JOY store in Pinces Mall, I’ll be visiting that one shortly!

I love this store and it’s perfect if you’re looking for a gift or some clothing that’s a little bit out of the ordinary. The prices aren’t the cheapest but then you get the benefit of buying something that you’re less likely to see someone else wearing. There are two stores, one in Ocean Terminal and another in the Princes Mall. There’s a great selection of greetings cards and little trinkets and I always end up wanting buy a lot more than I came in for! The staff are always helpful and friendly but not too intrusive. Overall, I think this store is a welcome addition to Edinburgh’s shopping scene.

I really like this shop as it sells really funky clothes, something a little bit unusual. There are normally lots of lovely colours on show which makes it a pleasure to browse around. Prices are not too bad, always good when there is a sale on. Changing rooms are nice and big although if you are on the end one and the curtain comes open, all the other shoppers will see your bare bits. There are lots of novelty gifts, quite a lot of rude ones — do not let your child wonder about in this shop alone. Cards are unique and funny, can spend hours standing reading them and laughing out loud.

great place for fun prezzies but not really for small kids! They sell funny clothes and presents to give to those you love(or hate!). Nice staff always cheerfull and ready to help. Located on the 1st floor of Ocean terminal on the side of Debenhams. Very funny shop to have a look in.
