I came into Holland & Barrett to pick up some vitamins that I was having trouble finding in regular pharmacies.
Although there was a weekday 5pm dash, the extremely helpful man working was kind enough to set aside enough time to talk to me about what I was looking for and even looked through a catalogue behind the counter to see if there were any further cost-​effective alternatives. He genuinely knew what he was talking about and had no issues discussing my best options at length.
For a health food store I never thought too much of before, this experience totally changed things for me. I wouldn’t hesitate to come back to this particular branch because of this helpful staff member.

Holland and Barrett should have a warning emblazoned across its door, ‘This establishment can seriously damage your bank account’. I’m not sure why, but every now and then I have the notion to buy a large bag of nuts or 1kg of Japanese rice crackers, so I mosey on down to Holland and Barrett. Needless to say I never leave with just a bag of nuts or some rice crackers. It all seems to happen in a bit of a blur: before I know it I find myself back outside on Rose St with a carrier bag full of useless vitamins, £30 less in my purse and the vaguest of recollections about my retail experience.
