Elite Event: The Jitterbug Gin Dance!

What a fantastic a evening and what a what a way to say thank you to Jenny and hello to Cressi!
The dancing was a delight… the gin cocktails terrific and the fancy dress as dashing as ever!
The venue I have to say was a teat as well, my first time at the hotel but what a beautiful room!
To Jenny we say thank you to Cressi we say… what you got for us ;)

The Jitterbug Gin Dance was a great event for Jenny to go out with a bang and bring in Cressi with a swing-​out on the dance floor. I had never been inside the Old Waverley Hotel before, and I was impressed with the walk-​up and the lovely ballroom where the event was held. It is a great event space that is perfectly situated with great views of the Princes St Gardens and the Castle, too. They kindly treated us to a wide range of nibbles and delicious desserts — and I didn’t even expect any food to be served so that was a nice surprise. The cheese puff scones and the macaroons were particularly delicious!
I enjoyed having Gary and Susan join us again for a fun but quick introduction to swing dance and jitterbug. It was great getting (almost) everyone out on the dance floor.
It was also fantastic to have Edinburgh Gin there and I was happy to have the opportunity to try the three lovely cocktails: elderflower bubbles, raspberry gin with apple and rhubarb, and spiced orange with ginger beer! I wouldn’t have normally tried elderflower or spiced orange gin, so it was fun to try them both. My favourite was the raspberry gin though — lovely!
The evening rounded out well with letting us have a chance to thank Jenny for her outstanding work as our Edinburgh CM — I’m so glad she’s not going far, though, and now we benefit from having both Cressi and Jenny in Edinburgh! Welcome, Cressi!
