Edinburgh is not a large town, so on the map it seems further away than it is. A ten pound cab or 15 minute bus ride from city center. Or a really nice walk. The rooms offer what you’ll need and include everything expected(including multiple outlets) and an in room sink(even if it’s a shared shower/toilet room with a few other rooms. Doesn’t bother me really. Note: pay your billin cash to help the owner out, or he’ll have to add a 5% surcharge to cover the cost of the transaction(READ: the man isn’t exactly charging an arm and a leg for rates so be goddamned grateful. I’m here fora week, and was very gracious in being unconcerned WHEN i’d get him the cash, just«by checkout.» The usual neighborhood sundries are close by, and the bus stop to city center is 200 feet from the door. Going to explore neighborhood pubs… now.

It’s okay, but no place that I would recommend to a friend. We have had a double room with bath ensuite, but the bath stank by bleach, and it was one of the smallest I have yet seen. Couldnt sit on the toilet properly. Breakfast is okay, but only instant coffee.
