There is only one word that sums up this place: sanctuary. Built as such; achieved as such.
I’ve driven past this place all my life and never knew it existed — after a pre Mothers Day lunch, it was the perfect place to take my parents for a walk. Plenty of seating for tired legs, and lots of little havens dotted around to sit, take in the views of Duddingston Loch and the gardens around you. It’s places like this that make you find a little peace in the hectic life around you. You just have to go to understand.
