Comiston Fry

My rating is based on the worst mushy peas any of us had ever seen, and their handling of our complaint.
We got home to find the pot of ‘mushy peas’ was green liquid of the consistency of water, with no more than 3 half peas in it. I took it back and they gave me a replacement, this took them around 5 minutes.
I took it home to find that it was little better than the first pot. Green water with perhaps a dozen half peas at the bottom.
I took this insult back, and asked for my money back, on the basis that mushy peas should:
1. be mushy
2. have peas in
I also mentioned that our food at home was now cold, and we really regretted choosing them. The woman who served me basically said «it’s not our fault, that’s how they come out of the tin», the older man in charge didn’t say much. He did give me a refund for the peas, but nothing to make up for the cold food and the hassle.
I took my refund and, for a fraction of the price, bought a tin of mushy peas from a grocer on the way home. They took a minute to heat in the microwave, because they were not just a cup of water, and they were also mushy, with peas in.
I will never go back to Comiston Fry, and I’ll make sure no-​one I care about does either!
