I started off giving this shop one star, but I thought that was maybe a little harsh. Tesco Burnt Oak is hardly a shining beacon for supermarkets. The staff are often surly, and the stock levels vary from being too high for things nobody wants, to being too low for essential items(skimmed milk, for example.) As well as that the choice is very limited, and for me the shopfloor has a grubby feel to it, so I rarely buy fresh produce from there. That said, the fresh produce is pretty limited anyway. There are two things I don’t understand about Tesco in Burnt Oak; the chain is obviously very successful at running supermarkets, so how can they let this one go so wrong? The other thing is that this is the site of the very first Tesco shop(way back in 19-something), so why don’t they do something clever with it based on it’s heritage, or even just show that they care about it? Instead there seems to be a complete disregard for it. Maybe it’s only me who thinks history I important? Either way, with grumpy staff, poor stock levels and little choice, a dirty-looking shop and a «don’t care» attitude, for me Tesco Burnt Oak is one to avoid.
