Birling Gap

The Scenery is great. Beachy Head and seven Sisters are Beautiful Coastlines. But to many Visitors. You can’t make very good Photos, because of all the People. Every Carpark has a Pay and Display. Almost Rubbery from the County.

the small coffee shop and hotel has closed down and will be rebuilt soon, the pub is still open, free carpark {but small}
there a good beach but can be danger near the cliffs {children must be controled all times}
good pubs near by and a 3D center good for wet day at beachy head {pay car park}
there seaford head with good views of the 7 sisters
seaford beach — clean with history tower
newhaven — ferry to france, forts and small old shopping street {car free}
eastbourne — main town with shopping centre
check out the lighthouse now a b&b between birling gap and beachy head
7 sisters mostly flat {now a pay carpark}

Notorious suicide hotspot Beachy Head is a couple of minute’s drive from here. For those that prefer a more pedestrian route to the shore, Birling gap offers the same fantastic views over the English channel and a large track of pebble beach shoreline to walk along. Very theraputic and humbling, when we visited volunteers were clearing the shoreline of timber flotsam from a container ship that had shed its load at sea. There’s a pub/​hotel and parking at the top of the cliff stairs. But beware the tides — something about them waiting for no man…
