Really great food and the gent working was brilliant, really chatty and funny. The food was actually amazing. I ordered the veg korma, paneer and aloo gobi and all were cooked to perfection, the sauces were brilliantly sweet and really tasty. I have found my new favourite Indian! I would recommend it to anybody. Cannot wait to go back! And for parking, there is plenty of parking on residential streets around, Coombe road especially has lots available for free after six.

We’ve eaten both in the restaurant and got a takeaway from here. The staff are really friendly and attentive when you eat in, plus they deliver on time(even to the super lazy who live a few mins up the road) but they food was… average. Well, mister thought his was super tasty(chicken tikka masala) but my vegetable korma was watery and the veg was rubbery on both visits. The rest was really nice though especially the naan bread, so it’s worth a try: o)

Saffrons: Saffrons is one of my favourite Indian restaurants that I’ve come across in Brighton. It’s fairly new and I feel the interior has a great sense of style with pleasant shades of blue and calming lighting. The main thing I have to brag about this restaurant is the food. I can be quite particular about my Indian food and I have to say the taste and quality of Saffrons is fabulous! I ordered a chicken korma and thought it tasted delicious; creamy and rich but with the right texture to really taste the coconut flavours — my stomach came away very satisfied and content indeed! For a side dish I had a peshwari naan and thought that tasted just as nice, perfectly complimenting the korma, however my friend has said that she found it to be a little sweeter than she likes it. Personally as I prefer it sweet as I generally have quite a sweet tooth, so this didn’t bother me! The prices are average but you get more for your money than you do at other places taste and quality wise, and the portion sizes are good. I have ordered take away from this place before numerous times and although the food is great, the service on take away isn’t something to brag about, I have had to wait over 45 minutes before now which isn’t fun on an empty stomach! Apart from that I would highly recommend this place when you’re craving Indian food, you won’t be disappointed!

The service in this place is so good. They really put themselves out to make sure your food is served all together and they are really genuinely friendly. We usually go there in quite large groups so book in advance and have no problem getting a table. The décor is nice and light and airy and the seats are really comfortable. I usually order the Tikka Marsala with rice and a couple of different naan breads but we usually all order a dish each and have a share. Its all really well cooked in here. Value wise its so quite a bit cheaper than some of the ones in town but miles better!

Saffrons is an Indian restaurant on the way out of town, so it serves locals who live around Lewes Road– great for them, sad for me who no longer lives near enough to get take-away once a week! This is an restaurant and a take-away and it’s excellent at both. Their Tarka Dall is still the best Dall in Brighton, despite my new allegiance to Agra Tandoori’s onion bhajis! The restaurant is on the busy Coombe Terrace which is basically the extension of Lewes Rd, so not really a nice view or atmosphere; but the inside of this place manages to leave it all behind with quite a fancy interior in shades of calming blue and chrome! They pride themselves on impeccable service, which means that you can have up to five waiters rushing around your table– great service but sometimes a little too much! The food is incredible– from the fresh crispy poppadoms to the homemade samosas and bhajis– all served with copious pickles and sauces– through to the dall and sag paneer that I usually order. Amazing paneer! The boyfriend recommends the byriani and vindaloo– he loves very spicy and they supply him with his drug! All the sauces and ingredients are fresh. The breads are superb. Why am I not living nearby?! Good prices too.
