Less well-frequented than once it was, the King’s Head is a fairly typical dukebox-and-big-TV town centre pub, frequented on Friday and Saturday nights by a crowd with an average age of around 15. If you’re in the middle of Dursley and need a pint(and I’m aware that there are those who would claim that the if the former is true, the latter will be shortly thereafter) there are worse places to end up. There’s never that much of a choice of real ale(read: there’s usually two), but what’s there is looked after well and as it doesn’t usually liven up until late evening, it’s not a bad spot to go and watch the rugby with a pint or two. There’s a covered and heated smoking area outside, should that matter to you! :)
