Best ‘after a night of drinking’ place in town. It’s not so bad during the daytime either!
After a night out order a Helicopter or Scooby Snack —
Helicopter — burger patty, lorne sausage patty, slice of bacon (ham for you from the US), fried egg, and a nice helping of thick cut chips (fries), all inside of a huge bun. Add a little brown sauce — and OMG, yum!
The cool thing is — they have just about anything you would ever want for lunch or dinner… well…as long as you want straight-​up Scottish fast food. Meat pies, curry pies, mac & cheese pies, any pies…, paninis, burgers, chips, a full line of baked goods and treats, and meal deals that include DONUTS as side items!
The car park & queue inside is full of all sorts of people — business men, construction workers, police officers (do they have donut jokes here?), and of course… university students.
If you ever make a stop in Dundee and you want to visit a place that really is the heart of the food fair here — you HAVE to stop into Clark’s Bakery. Really.

Good for a snack after a heavy night of drinking (seem to end up here a lot drunk and hungry) and with delights such as the «Helicopter», a burger with pretty much everything imaginable on it, even chips, its easy to see why it’s popular past pub/​club closing time.
In the cold, hard light of day — different story!

24 hr bakery heaven. The food looks so good, I can’t wait until I’m hungry for a meal and in the neighbourhood. Otherwise, it’s a good place for a cheap and delicious pastry or dessert.
