Absolutely love this place. Sea weed baths, massages, treatments, self catering apartments all under one roof. I’ll start with apartments — really spacious & beautifully finished and all with sea views over looking the coast all the way around Newcastle. You can book 1 bed &2 beds apartments. Now the baths! This is pretty unusual but really nice. You’re given a private room, where you sit in the steam enclosure to open your pores, before you jump into a hot bath of sea water and sea weed whilst the music of your choice is played into the room. The sea water and oils from the seaweed is brilliant for your skin. I’ve got eczema and it really makes a difference to me. You can also add on extra treatments such as massage, facials, scrubs etc. Brilliant wee get away spot!

If you need rest and relaxation this is one of the best places in Northern Ireland. This isn’t 3rd trip here and it never disappoints. The soak group comprises of apartments, tea rooms, sea weed bath facilities and spa treatment facilities. We stayed in their 4 person apartment, with views overlooking the waves smacking against Newcastle and the coast and the Mourne mountains. The facilities are excellent, including a fully kitted out large kitchen and dining facilities, living area, with lovely bay windows and a small balcony so you can take in the whole view, and 2 bedrooms with one ensuite and a bathroom, clean, bright and comfortable, you can’t fault them. The management and staff are excellent, very accommodating and friendly, and give you plenty of information on treatments and facilities. We had a sea weed bath each in our own room and a couple of their spa treatments, all were very relaxing and not very expensive. Great place and can’t wait to go back when the weather improves!

This really is a one of a kind place, Newcastle is filled with slot machines, tacky souvenir shops and ice cream parlours, but at the far end of the town lies Soak seaweed baths, and its absolutely fantastic. We have been here several times and have re booked yet again to go, I cant tell you how great it makes you feel you just have to experience it for yourself. I advise leaving plenty of time before your booking, enjoy a coffee and pastry before you go into the baths, I have always felt ravenous during! Bring your own CD, they play your selection in the room during your stay, the rooms are just bathrooms really, with a bath partially filled with seaweed, you adjust the fill and temperature of the bath to suit yourself and hop into the steam cubicle for a ten minute stint. after which you get into the seaweed filled bath for 40 minutes followed by ten minutes cold shower… yahoo!!! Stick the 10 minutes in the shower… my GF cant as she is a big chicken, but Im brave and I think you get more benefit that way. Here are a few hints: 1. DONOT let the water in your eyes… ow! 2. Drink plenty of water during bath(they leave you a large glass) 3. Dont use soap or deodorant after 4. Dont pull the plug when you are in the bath… bloody seaweed gets stuck in the hole!(I speak from experience) We really love it here, it is so relaxing and you will be glowing for days after. Very reasonable prices too, £25 single, shared single £30, double deluxe £40. If there are two of you go for the deluxe option, the staff are friendly and are not in any hurry to get you out. Well worth the visit to Newcastle. Love it!
