My husband and I visited the tea rooms for the first time yesterday and we were not disappointed. We both had the mega brunch with poached eggs and were delighted that the chef could actually poach eggs. The service was excellent and all of the staff were friendly and very efficient. We will certainly be visiting again.

I visited the Town House Tea Rooms Bawtry today with a group of friends for Sunday lunch. The atmosphere was wonderful and the food superb, served by very pleasant and helpful staff. I shall certainly be returning in the future, hopefully to enjoy an evening meal on either one of the Friday or Saturday opening nights.

Great eatery at value for money prices. The service is local and very appealing as you can have a friendly but brief discussion and a bit of fun whilst enjoying good cuisine. Parking is easy around the area and places are always available.
My only wish as the staff know would be evening opening, but then you can’t have it always.

This is a bit more than just a tea room — they sell quite a variety of food and it is actually really good! They sell sandwiches, jackets, paninis and daily specials — all the things you get in a decent café.
It’s quite upmarket, and gets quite busy at times so you can ring to reserve a table, and many people do. Despite that, it’s not particularly expensive — fairly average prices for a decent coffee shop.
There isn’t dedicated car parking, but the on-​street parking outside is normally reasonably easy to find a space in, and it costs as little as 20p to park in the pay area if you can’t get a space on the road opposite which shouldn’t really break the bank.
