I live quite near Armthorpe and I think that this is a really handy little Tesco store. It really is very small, not much bigger than a large Spar or something but they’ve got quite a good choice and because it is Tesco you get decent prices that you wouldn’t get in a normal corner shop.
They also usually have quite a lot of stuff that’s reduced to clear at the end of the evening so you can usually get a bit of a bargain if you’re not too fussy!!!

This is a really handy little Tesco Express. It’s not a full supermarket but it’s bigger than a corner shop and has a good general range of goods so ideal for top-​up shopping.
It’s hidden away in the corner of the shopping area, just off the main road but there’s plenty of free parking outside and not normally too much traffic.
The service I’ve always had has been fine — nothing exceptional but generally good. There’s no petrol station or Direct desk but for normal day-​to-​day groceries I’d recommend calling in to this branch.
