Lakeside Indian Restaurant

Great food, great prices (The set meal deal is the best) and the best service i have ever encountered (we took our 1 year old son, he got a bit upset and the waiters attempted to make him laff, and cheer him up by giving him things to play with and free food. they did this even though there was not one else in the restaurant!)
I seriously can not rate this place enough. i travel over 15 miles to go here, and do so at least once a month.

Worst Indian meal we have ever had, poor service and shocking food quality, please ignore any positive reports on other sites as they write their own reviews. Avoid this Indian like the plague!

I’ve heard lots of good things about this restaurant so gave it a go for a take-​away a few weeks ago but I was really disappointed.
Maybe it’s better if you sit in — certainly the restaurant is really nice and modern looking — but we thought the food was quite average, not particularly tasty and not the best quality. I wouldn’t recommend the madras as it was a bit bland really.
It’s not the cheapest either, and by the time you add in the cost of petrol driving out there and the time it takes, I think I’d probably give it a miss in the future. It’s not bad, just not especially good.
For anyone looking for it, it’s nowhere near Lakeside development in Doncaster, but rather actually beside a small lake, just off the A614 between Hatfield Woodhouse and Finningley.

Top quality indian food in a nice setting offering a friendly atmosphere. The only downside is that this is a bit out of the way — worth a visit though. This restaurant offers an extensive indian menu as well as the usual special board. Tables are nicely spaced out — this is a lovely setting if you’re wanting a quiet meal for two. Generally offers good value for money. A large car park.

since the clsing of the indus resturant in doncaster this is now my favorite resturant in the area, the surroundings are relaxing, clean and friendly, the staff are nice and helpfull, but not to in your face hovering all the time, you dont really notice them but as soon as you need something they are there straight away. the food is top quility and so is the service. They also do english meals and childrens meals and their is plenty to choose from. If you are there to celabrate a birthday anaversry ect and tell them in advance they will give you a free cake. for a meal out in doncaster you cant go wrong coming here you are guarenteed excellent food and service
