I was really looking forward to this pub opening as it’s within walking distance and was happy about it being a family pub too. However, having visited three times now I feel the food is way overpriced for the quality recieved and it’s unfortunate that there isn’t a seperate area just for drinkers. The Blue Jay is probably worth a visit but I won’t be visiting on a regular basis. When/if I do, it’ll be for drinks only.

This pub carries the usual decent selection of Wolverhampton & Dudley beers you would expect to find in a Marston’s pub, unfortunately it majors on food and there is no dedicated area for drinkers who do not wish to eat. The Carvery is what you would expect(not great) but reasonable value. My experience of food from the menu is that it is poor(I had to send my LAST meal back) and over priced but it may improve once it has been open a while. In summary good selection of Beers but not a drinkers pub, and average/poor food.
